FTP

The latest version of all of these packages are available via FTP from: ftp://ftp.andrew.cmu.edu/pub/cyrus/ We don't do a good job keeping these pages up to date so you will want to subscribe to the appropriate mailing lists for the release announcements and check the FTP site for newer versions.

IMAP Server

NOTE: Documentation for the IMAP server is located in the doc directory of the distribution. Please be sure to read the files in that directory after you unpack the distribution.

The latest stable/current release of the IMAP server is 2.3.16 which includes support for replicated mailboxes, unified murder configuration, delayed expunge, separate metadata partitions, Sieve extensions, and much more. It requires SASLv2 which is available below.

The latest legacy release of the IMAP server is 2.2.13p1 which includes support for virtual domains, NNTP, mailbox annotations, and much more. It requires SASLv2 which is available below.

The last release in the 2.1.x series of the IMAP server is 2.1.18. No further releases of the 2.1 branch are planned.

The last release in the 2.0.x series of the IMAP server is 2.0.17. No further releases of the 2.0 branch are planned.

The 1.x series of Cyrus IMAPd has been deprecated. It should be considered unsafe to use.

SASL Library

Please refer to the NEWS file for changes or more details can be found in the ChangeLog. Both are included with the distribution. Library documentation can be found in the doc subdirectory.

For the SASLv2 (current) library, version 2.1.23 is available. This is a production/stable release.

Here is the 1.5.28 release. This library is being deprecated and applications should transition to using the SASLv2 library.

An unsupported, precompiled Win32 version of SASLv1 is also available: setup-sasl-1.5.27.exe This can be used for Windows client applications that support SASLv1. (The Oracle Collaboration Suite Calendar client is the only application known to use SASLv1 on Windows.) This library should be considered depricated.

IMSP Server

The IMSP server is used for storing application preferences and address book data in a shared location. Few applications support IMSP preferences and address books.

The final version of IMSP server is 1.7b. No further releases of the IMSP server are planned.

ACAP Server

The ACAP server is used for storing application preferences in a shared location, and was designed to be a successor to IMSP. Even fewer applications support ACAP.

The final version of the server (version 0.5). No further releases of the ACAP server are planned The ACAP server requries SASL 1.5.x, which has been deprecated.

We also have several binary distributions available for those who don't want to compile SML/NJ:

Anonymous CVS Access

Some of these packages are also available via anonymous CVS. Additionally, you can try our CVSWeb interface (for example IMAPd and SASL).
