cyrus-imapd-2.4.13 released
We are pleased to announce the release of Cyrus IMAPd 2.4.13.
This is a stable release in the 2.4.x series. It contains a whole stack of bug fixes - not only those found since 2.4.12, but others which have been sitting around for a while.
Special thanks to Leena and Dave for testing over Christmas, which uncovered yet more bugs in the LIST code during the beta period. The LIST code has been simplified considerably as a result.
I won't name all the people who contributed this time here - but check the bug reports. The community is doing good work.
So - happy new year everybody. Unless there are significant bugs found in this release, I hope to move the focus towards our first 2.5 release, and stabilising the future branch.

cyrus-imapd-2.4.12 released
We are pleased to announce the release of Cyrus IMAPd 2.4.12.
This is a stable release in the 2.4.x series. It contains a security fix to issue Secunia SA46093, an authentication check problem in the nntpd daemon reported by Stefan Cornelius. This release also contains fixes for quite a few bugs found since the release of 2.4.11, and adds some new features.
Despite the security issue forcing this release, it's wonderful to see how many different authors are represented. Not only the regular contributions from Bron, Greg and Ken, but lots of bugs reported through bugzilla along with patches.
We strongly recommend that all users of the stable series upgrade to 2.4.12, or at least apply the patch here:

Initial Cyrus CalDAV implementation released
The Cyrus RoadMap lists calendaring support as a possibility for the 2.6 release, and we've taken a big first step toward that today. Ken Murchison committed his initial Cyrus CalDAV server implementation to git.cyrusimap.org today. This implementation provides an http daemon with DAV extensions that runs as a service from cyrus.conf. It stores calendar collections in IMAP mailboxes and uses RFC 5322 messages to store iCalendar data. Currently, the code does not yet support scheduling, WebDAV ACLs or all required CalDAV reports, but our goal is to eventually provide a fully integrated email/calendaring solution using open standards. We're actively soliciting development contributions so we can see this project through to a successful completion. If you're interested in providing development resources, please contact the cyrus-devel mailing list.
